On October 1 2010 Sparks Spirit Hunters was invited to investigate the historic Perkin's Mansion in Akron Ohio. We were accompanied by Len Rome from channel 33 WYTV who was filming a special for halloween. This two part feature can be viewed in our media section. We were able to capture several EVP's that night and we have them listed below.

This Audio clip is a collection of loud bangs that were recorded in the servant's quarter's. They are very loud and seem to be next to the recorder. While we can not say that these noises are for sure paranormal in origin, we did however note that they are very unusual and only occurred in this room and only when there was no one in this room.
In the upstairs bedroom there was a ball that was placed on the bed. Jared entered the room alone and asked if anyone would like to play ball with him. The audio recorder that was placed in this room captured an EVP response to this question.
The EVP that was captured in this recording was recorded in the dining room on a stationary recorder. At the time of the recording everyone was on the second floor and on one was in the area of the dining room.
This EVP was recorded on our Zoom 360 recorder in the back room of the third floor. Jared explains that he has equipment that can record a spirit's voice. He receives an EVP response to this statement.
This EVP was recorded by Lisa in the upstairs bedroom. She was alone in the room while she was conducting this EVP session. The EVP is indistinct and sounds like a moan.
This audio was recorded by the stationary recorder that was placed in the upstairs bedroom. It captured a conversation between Len Rome and Leianne, the Executive Director of the Summit County Historical Society. They were discussing the Perkins family who lived in this home once. After they walk away an EVP is captured that seems to be adding to their conversation.
This EVP was captured by Jared's camera in the upstairs parlor. He was just gathering his equipment to head to another area of the house to investigate further. Before he left he captured the parlor he captured this EVP. This EVP is also indistinct and sounds like a moan.
These pictures are of a painting in the Perkin's Mansion. There are numerous claims that when this painting is photographed, a face appears in the painting. We offer a non-Paranormal explaination to this occuance that is a possibility. The painting has a shinny textured lacquer finish that reflects the light from a camera's flash. This creates strange patterns of reflected light that are not noticeable under usual circumstances. When you look at these images "matrixing" occurs. Matrixing is the human brain's ability to pick out recognizable images out of random patterns. Think of looking up at clouds in the sky and picking out clouds that look like a dog or a rabbit for example. With a complex pattern such as this it is easy to see things that aren't really there. This is possibly what is occurring in this instance.
