Residential Private Home - Youngstown, OH

<Back to Our Hunts Page
On september 4th, 2010 SSH investigated a private home in Youngstown Ohio. The client told us stories of a female apparition, doors that opened and closed with no visible cause, phantom footsteps and toys that would go off by themselves. We investigated for several hours. We didn't have any personal experiments while we were there but we came up with several EVP's in our evidence review.

EVP 1

The first EVP was captured in the child's room upstairs. Jared can be heard asking "which Bedroom is your favorite?" The EVP response can be heard directly after he asks. It says "orange." This EVP is fast and a bit difficult to hear. It is the weakest one that we captured in this home. It is 8 seconds into the audio clip.

Orange

EVP 2

This EVP was also captured in the upstairs child's room. The voice seems to be a child's. There is a loud strange noise and then a voice says "I don't belong here." This EVP is very clear and is east to make out.

I don't belong here

EVP 3

During our investigation we asked questions for our EVP sessions in normal speaking level voices, However, towards the end of the night Jared began yelling questions from downstairs in the living room in hopes of evoking a response. It seems that this upset the female ghost that was there because we picked up an EVP of her complaining. Her words are not distinguishable but it is clear by the tone of her voice that she is upset. She can be heard starting at 35 seconds into the audio clip and she goes on for quite a while. This EVP was recorded in the upstairs child's room. It is important to note that we had 5 audio recorders running at this time but, as is common with many EVP's, this was the only recorder that captured this disembodied voice. We have included the audio clip from the recorder that was closest to Jared at the time for comparison. The EVP is not on this recorder or any of our other recorders. This helps us prove that this is a genuine EVP and not audio contamination.

Final decision - Give the EVP's that we captured here, it seems that there is some paranormal activity occurring at this location. The evidence that we were able to capture backs up the clients claims of a female ghost and a child ghost setting off the toys.
